First Holy Communion typically takes place at an age when children are able to understand the meaning and reverence of the Sacrament. This age can vary. Some young children can have a profound sense of faith. Pastor encourages them to participate when parents/guardians deem they are ready.

Preparation for First Holy Communion involves instruction about the Sacrament's significance, the teachings of Jesus, stressing that there is room at His table for everyone, and helping the children to express in artistic form.

The children will be welcomed to the Lord's table to receive the bread and the wine during the Maundy Thursday evening worship service. This is a significant step in their spiritual life, reinforcing their connection to Jesus Christ and the church family.
